Ashleigh Lewis

Ashleigh Lewis is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst with more than 7 years of experience working in the classroom and clinic with students of all ages with behavioral, emotional, developmental, social, and physical disabilities. She received a Master’s in Teaching from Mercer University in May 2009, graduating at the top of her class with a 4.0 GPA, and later a graduate certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) at TCSPP. Ashleigh has worked in the classroom and local school district as both a classroom teacher and behavior intervention coach. While in the educational setting, she trained staff members and educators on behavior reduction strategies, set up various special needs classrooms, designed and developed more than 100 individualized education plans (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and attended dozens of IEP meetings advocating for the needs of students with Autism and other disabilities.

In addition to her experience in the classroom, Ashleigh has experience as a Clinical Supervisor in a clinical setting providing early intervention ABA services to young learners, conducting behavioral and skill assessments, developing treatment plans with developmentally appropriate goals in various domains, and hosting parent training/ family guidance sessions on the principles of ABA. She also is the leader of a BIPOC employee resource group, promoting and cultivating change and cultural responsive reform in the field of ABA.

Outside of work, Ashleigh authored a collection of social stories specifically written for children of color, runs a social media platform dedicated to promoting diversity and cultural responsiveness in the field of ABA, and hosts community workshops at a local library on various topics. In her spare time, Ashleigh enjoys traveling with her husband and children, reading books, and shopping.
